Blessing of the Animals

The Blessing of the Animals celebration is on Tuesday, October 6, at 6:00 p.m. in the church's side yard.  This date coincides with the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Animals.  Historically blessing of animals can be either for an animal, or for the human-animal relationship, and can apply to pets and other companion animals, as well as working agricultural animals and other other animals with which humans depend on or have interaction. Blessing of the Animals is a wonderful celebration of all animals, as well as their humans.

During the short service, pets may stay on a leash, in a carrier, or in your car at the fence.  For more informatin, contact the church office.
