Worship Ministries:

Our members are involved in the ministry of worship in several ways
  • Ushering – We have a group of ushers who serve every Sunday and groups which rotate, serving different Sundays each year.
  • Worship & Worship Arts Subcommittee – This group, a part of the Celebrations Committee, meets to help plan worship, including the use of the visual arts to enhance the worship experience.
  • Laity involvement in worship – Members of the laity are often invited to participate in worship, including proclamation, serving as liturgists and communion assistants. Once a year, the congregation celebrates Laity Sunday, which is a worship service planned by the Lay Leader, involving different members of the laity in worship.
  • Members serve by changing the paraments and in the preparation for communion.
  • In addition, the laity are involved in worship through acolyting (children) and through our music ministry, including adult and bell choirs.
  • Kids Klub (elementary age choir) participates in worship monthly.
  • We have recently installed permanent audiovisual systems in the sanctuary, the social hall, and the chapel. The Director of Technology Services and volunteers create presentations used to enhance worship, and operate the sound and projection systems.
  • Our Pastors use the Revised Common Lectionary to select the biblical text basis of most worship services.
